Changelog
What shipped
Product and API changes, newest first. Breaking changes are announced at least 90 days ahead and listed here twice.
Prefetch API is generally available
Warm an object across every PoP before you announce it. Rate limited to 200 objects per minute per zone.
Two new PoPs: Riyadh and Lima
Both sites are live with 1.6 Tbps of edge capacity and open peering.
v2 API sunset date set
The v2 API stops accepting writes on 15 January 2027 and stops responding entirely on 1 April 2027. The migration guide covers the four endpoints that changed shape.
Multi-range responses on sliced objects
A multi-range request that spanned a slice boundary could return a malformed final part. Fixed and covered by a regression test.
zstd on the client path
Where a client advertises zstd we now use it, which cut text egress by another 9% against Brotli level 5.
IPv6-only edge machines in three PoPs
Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Singapore now run part of the fleet without IPv4 on the client side. No customer action needed.
